Special Email Session

The members of the Graduate Council of Lamar University were emailed on May 4, 2016 to review additional items for a special email session.   All members of the Graduate Council were emailed including the Ex Officio’s.  Items were scanned and attached to the email for the Council’s review.

NEW BUSINESS: 

College of Education and Human Development

A memo was submitted to the Graduate Council from the department of Educational Leadership to change the current degree plan offerings for the Masters of Educational Technology Leadership.

Current ETL courses to be replaced:

EDLD 5362 Information Systems Management

EDLD 5363 Multimedia/Video Tech

EDLD 5366 Digital Graphics/Web Design

EDLD 5364 Teaching with Technology

New Courses to be added to the ETL degree plan:

EDLD 5302 Concepts of Educational Technology

EDLD 5316 Digital Citizenship

EDLD 5317 Resources for Digital Environments

EDLD 5318 Instructional Design in Online Learning

Consensus from the Graduate Council was given via email documentation by May 11,2016.  The new degree plan was unanimously approved by the members of the Council.

Course Changes/College of Education and Human Development

Course change EDLD 5339 (Organization and Management Issues) is changing to EDLD 5339 (The Principalship).  Only the title to the course is changing.  The description of the course will remain the same as the original

Consensus from the Graduate Council was given via email documentation by May 11,2016.  The course change was unanimously approved by the members of the Council.
