Special Email Session

The Graduate Council of Lamar University were emailed on June 22, 2016 to review additional items for a special email session. All members of the Graduate Council were emailed including the Ex Officio’s. Items were scanned and attached to the email for the Council’s review.
NEW BUSINESS:
College of Business
An Approval Request was submitted to the Graduate Council from the College of Business Administration to change the name of an existing degree plan from the Organizational Management concentration to Management. An additional course, Operations Management, will be added to the selection at a later date and submitted for approval at that time.
Consensus from the Graduate Council was given via email documentation by June 30,2016. The new degree plan was unanimously approved by the members of the Council.
College of Business
An Approval Request was submitted to the Graduate Council from the College of Business Administration to add a concentration online. The online degree plan will be called M.B.A.-General. The online plan will allow students in the M.B.A. Program to choose the courses that best fit their career goals.
Consensus from the Graduate Council was given via email documentation by June 30,2016. The addition of the new concentration, M.B.A.-General, was unanimously approved by the members of the Council.
