Call to Order
1. Tabitha Evans called to order the regular meeting of the HUB Committee at 9:32am on February 24, 2017 at Otho Plummer Building Section A, Rm 102.
HUB Goals/Current Status
1. Tabitha Evans provided a document with Lamar University's current HUB goals for each category and current expenditures. Overall expenditures for the month of December was $3,004,140.41. A significant gap remains between NonHUB and HUB spend. NonHUB spend accounts for 84.46% or $2,537,973.51 of all dollars expended leaving 15.54% of HUB expenditures is inclusive of subcontracting dollars. The expenditure breakdowns are as follows:
  a. African American- 2.23% - $67,151.18
  b. Asian American - .11 % - $3,353.20
  c. Hispanic - 1.95% - $58,558.29
  d. Native Americans - 0%
  e. White Female - 10.99% - $330,304.23
  f. Disabled Vet - .25% - $7,500.00
  g. Non HUB - 84.46% - $2,537,973.51
2. Current Percentages - As of December Lamar University's FY 2017 overall expenditures is $3,004,140.41. A total of $3,663,377 or 83.47% was spent with Non HUB vendors and $2,159,343.77 or 16.3% was spent with HUB vendors. The current HUB goal breakdown is as follows:
  a. African American- 93.4% - Commodities
  b. Asian American - 100% - Commodities
  c. Hispanic -90.13% - Commodities
  d. Native Americans -N/A
  e. White Female - 77.7% - Building Construction
  f. Disabled Vet - 100% - Building Construction
