Approval of Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes was made by Lula Henry. Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, and it passed.

Old Business:

• Music Business: B.S. degree plan
  
  • MUSB 4320 and 4340 do not exist yet.
  • Upper level FINC 3310, MKTG 4310 and MKTG 4340 all require pre-requisites that are not on the degree plan.
  • Nicki Michalski made a motion to table the degree plan until after the 4320 and 4340 classes are created. Judy Smith seconded the motion, and it passed.

New Business:

• DANC 1241:
  
  • There needs to be an ABC scale in the syllabus.
  • Consequences need to be included in the academic honesty policy.
  • The DRC statement title needs to be bold face.
  • Judy Smith made a motion to pass the course with changes. Lula Henry seconded the motion, and it passed.
• DANC 1243:
  
  • The course description needs to match on the syllabus and form.
  • The course title needs to match on the syllabus and form.
  • The academic dishonesty policy should be retitled honesty and needs penalties.
  • Nicki Michalski made a motion to approve the class with corrections. Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, and it passed.
• DANC 1245:
  
  • Remove “minimum grade C” for the pre-requisite.
  • A minimum of 6 hours are required for office hours.
  • The headings for the policies need to be bold so they can be easily identified.
  • Consolidate the two academic honesty policies into one or choose one or the other. The result needs to include penalties.
  • There needs to be a course outline.

  • Boyd Lanier made a motion to accept the course with changes. Judy Smith seconded the motion, and it carried.

  • The grading section needs an ABC scale.

  • Change DRC heading to include the word “policy”.
  • Judy Smith made a motion to accept the course with changes. Lula Henry seconded the motion.
  • Stefan Andrei made a friendly motion to ensure that all of the previously approved syllabi also change the DRC heading to include “policy”. Zanthia Smith seconded the amendment, it was accepted by Judy Smith and Lula Henry. The motion passed.
• Theater and Dance degree plans:
  
  • Boyd Lanier made a motion to accept the degree plans retroactively effective Fall 2014. Lula Henry seconded the motion, and it passed.
