Call to Order 3:35 p.m.

Approval of Minutes: Judy Smith made a motion to approve the minutes of the last meeting. Lula Henry seconded the motion, and it passed.

CHEN 4360:

• The label needs to be changed from course objectives to course description.
• Eileen Curl made a motion to approve the course with changes. Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, and it passed.

CMGT 3370 and 4370:

• There is a problem with a conflict between the distance ed template and the UCC template. Boyd Lanier will discuss the issues with the relevant people to determine agreeing language and other problems. The council decided to move ahead with these classes despite the template issue.
• The netiquette information from pages 2 and 4 need to be combined into one location
• On page 7, take out Example and put in the actual course title
• Remove the top scale (identified as sample) from the grading section on page 3.
• Judy Smith made a motion to approve the addition of 4370 with changes. Lula Henry seconded the motion, and it passed.
• Kami Makki made a motion to approve the deletion of 3370. Judy Smith seconded the motion, and it passed.

COMM 3326:

• On page 5 it should be due diligence and campus closure due
• Kami Makki made a motion to approve the class with the revision. Stefan Andrei seconded the motion, and it passed.

COMM 3379:

• Move the title for the academic honesty policy to the top of the next page.
• Stefan Andrei made a motion to approve the course with the change. Kami Makki seconded the motion, and it passed.

COMM 3386:

• F should be 599 and below on the grading scale.
• Judy Smith made a motion to approve the course with the change. The motion was seconded by Cynthia Barnes, and it passed.

COMM 3395:

• F should be 599 and below on the grading scale.
• The attendance policy heading should be moved to the top of the next page.
• Boyd Lanier will seek clarification on the attendance policy for this class and 3386 (above). Is it supposed to be 10% for both classes?
• The course pre-requisite should be COMM 3381.
• Judy Smith made a motion to approve the course with changes. Lula Henry seconded the motion, and it carried.

COMM 4373:

• F should be 599 and below on the grading scale.
• Fix the spacing in the academic honesty policy.
• Change the title to academic honesty policy.
• List all course materials in one place.
• There is a typo in the Write Brothers section on the required materials.
• Judy Smith made a motion to approve the course with changes and clarifications. Zanthia Smith seconded the motion, and it passed.

COSC 4304:

• Fix the CB admin code on the form.
• The max repeat hours should be 0.
• Flesh out the grading scale (e.g. 90-100%).
• Update the title of the DRC statement.
• Kami Makki made a motion to approve the course with changes. Eileen Curl seconded the motion, and it passed.

CRIJ 4315:

• There is a typo in the second sentence of the 3^rd paragraph on page 2.
• STARS changed its title.
• Is there an updated version of the text that should be used?
• Lula Henry made a motion to approve the class. Melissa Riley seconded the motion, and it passed.

CRIJ 4365:

• Change course summary to course description.
• Flesh out the course outline/agenda.
• Judy Smith made a motion to approve the course with changes. Lula Henry seconded the motion, and it passed.

English Degree:

• ENGL 1360 and MATH 2305 need to be deleted.
• Add MUSI 1310 (history of rock music) to creative arts.
• There are pedagogy changes regarding pre-requisites that need to be accounted for.
• There is a duplication of lines in the second math option area.
• Zanthia Smith made a motion to approve the plan with changes. Judy Smith seconded the motion, and it carried.

There was discussion of whether to extend the length of our meetings or add a second meeting per month to accommodate the volume of material. It was decided to wait until after the February 20^th meeting to assess the status.

Zanthia Smith made a motion to adjourn. It was seconded by Judy Smith, and it passed at 5:12 p.m.
